How SPF works

SPF is one TXT record that lists the servers allowed to send mail for your domain. Receivers check it on every message. Each include: costs DNS lookups and the total may not exceed 10, which is why large records silently fail. SPF alone does not stop spoofing of the visible From address – pair it with DKIM and a DMARC record.
