Does QuickBooks Online Payroll report W-2 code TT?
Short answer: Partly. The Qualified Overtime Tracking pay type fills in by itself only when you pay overtime with the built-in Overtime 1.5x and Double Time pay types; with state rules, other pay types or different hourly rates you enter the amount yourself.

|---|---|
| What it uses | A tracking-only pay type (Qualified Overtime Tracking) that doesn't change net pay or taxes. New employees get it with Overtime Pay; for existing employees add it under the employee's additional pay types. Intuit says the item reports on W-2s from 2026. |
| Check the amount | Raise a short year-to-date amount on the next paycheck, or edit past paychecks to lower it (net pay and taxes don't change). After W-2s are filed, Intuit's W-2 correction article explains the W-2c route. |
What to watch
- Enter or edit the amount by hand when your overtime policy or state law differs from the FLSA, when you use other pay types for overtime, or when overtime is paid at different hourly rates (union or prevailing wage).
- Intuit's pages don't mention nondiscretionary bonuses in the regular rate or the fluctuating workweek: check those employees yourself.
- If tracking was switched on after January, earlier overtime is missing until you add it (QuickBooks Team reply, July 2026).
- Intuit's help pages now label the online payroll product Intuit QuickBooks Workforce.

Export hours and earnings per workweek and run them through the free code TT calculator. It rebuilds the FLSA premium week by week (several rates, bonuses spread back, fluctuating workweek, weeks split by pay date) and runs in your browser. Big gaps usually come from bonuses, double time or state daily overtime.
